Petit Planet System Requirements: Launch Status and Beta Archive

Separate Petit Planet launch requirements from historical Final Beta PC and mobile recommendations. Epic still lists final Windows specifications as TBD.

Launch requirements versus historical recommendations

The official Windows listing checked November 1 leaves its minimum and recommended OS, CPU, RAM and GPU fields as TBD. We have not verified a complete launch hardware table in the sources here. Do not use old beta storage figures as the final client download size.

The Final Beta has ended. The following table and troubleshooting context are an archive; follow official download preparation for the December launch.

Historical Final Beta recommendations

PlatformOfficial recommendation
Windows PCWindows 10 or later; Intel i5 11th Gen / Ryzen 5 5000 series or better; RTX 2060 / Radeon RX 5600 XT or better; 16 GB RAM; 18 GB available storage
iOSiOS 14 or later; iPhone XS or later, excluding XR; 4 GB RAM; 10 GB available storage. Equivalent or better iPad chip performance is supported
AndroidAndroid 9 or later; Snapdragon 855 / Dimensity 1000 / Kirin 990 or better; 6 GB RAM; 12 GB available storage

The FAQ calls these recommendations. Do not interpret a listed device as a guarantee of performance or selection. An internet connection is required during play, and emulators are unsupported.

Why does Petit Planet say the OS is unsupported?

For the Final Beta, the official floor is Windows 10 on PC, iOS 14 on supported Apple hardware, or Android 9 on a compatible phone or tablet. An unsupported-OS message can therefore mean the installed operating system is below that beta requirement, the device is an emulator, or the device and beta platform do not match the access assigned to the account.

Use this checklist before reinstalling anything:

  1. Confirm that your operating-system version meets the table above.
  2. Confirm that you are using Windows rather than macOS or Linux on PC; the beta lists Windows only.
  3. Do not use an Android or iOS emulator. The official FAQ explicitly excludes emulators.
  4. Check the platform shown on the official Check Access page or in the invitation email.
  5. If the same eligible device still fails, use the official support address in the invitation instead of downloading a different client.

This checklist narrows common compatibility mismatches; it cannot diagnose every launcher or device error. The published table is for the Final Beta and should not be presented as the final launch minimum specification.

Historical device-binding policy

The beta bound access to the first devices used and restricted the account to one PC and one mobile device. Device changes could lead to suspension during that test. This is a historical restriction, not a confirmed launch policy.

For supported systems, see platforms. For installation, follow official download instructions. When release requirements are announced, they must be identified separately from this beta table.
